District technology is innovative, relevant, cost-effective, energy efficient and sustainable. Saanich school district technology has been nominated and won several awards for innovation and energy efficiency. The desktop virtualization strategies originally developed at the Kamloops School District have been improved and incorporated at Saanich. These technologies are equivalent to the desktop strategy used by Google for their business operations on over 20,000 workstations. This technology is highly transferrable.
